I am a Dad with 2 young Children who keep me busy, I love watching my Son play for a local football team and supporting Man Utd.

As Community Development & Engagement Officer at Langworthy Cornerstone, I lead community projects, secure funding, engage residents, and develop activities that improve wellbeing and meet local needs. With over 13 years of experience in community development and wellbeing programmes, I have worked across organisations including Age UK Stockport, Salford CVS, Bolton CVS, and NCT. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Sport Business Management and a Master's degree in Sport, Physical Activity and Mental Health. Alongside my current role, I work as a freelance Mental Health Trainer, supporting individuals and organisations to improve mental health awareness and wellbeing. I am passionate about creating inclusive opportunities that strengthen communities, promote wellbeing, and help people connect.

I have been able to support our local community in Salford by being part of the Board for the past couple of years. I was then appointed as Part Time Receptionist. I enjoy hand crafts and other many other artistic activities and support our craft groups at Langworthy Cornerstone in a voluntary capacity. I am passionate about animal rights and my husband would say I love my dogs more than him!

Community Connector

I started work here at Langworthy Cornerstone in April and have been loving it. I am working as the Community Connector under the Well-Being Matters programme, supporting people in the community to access support and services they need. I love working with people and am driven in helping people find the community support that is right for them. I have worked in these kind of roles for the past 4 years around Sheffield, Doncaster, Manchester and now Salford! I am new to the area so always looking for recommendations. I love listening to music and cycling my bike in my spare time

Hello There, I’m Jane, part-time receptionist. My passion is people and helping them to live their best lives. I’ve worked in the Salford community for many years, signposting people to support services, referring clients to Welfare Rights and Citizen’s Advice Bureau. Empowering people to take control or change things that hold them back. Watching a person grow in confidence and ability is so rewarding and it’s great to play a part in that. Langworthy Cornerstone is full of great activities and support services for people of all ages and backgrounds. There is a great community spirit, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, it’s a great place to work as well as visit as a customer.

“Anne’s Pantry” Food Club, Facility and Gallery Exhibitions Manager

I’m Anne. I originally joined Langworthy Cornerstone as their site caretaker. Being local to the centre, I was keen to support my community in different ways so I have more recently taken on the role of our Food Club Co-ordinator. I really enjoy this role, interacting with the participants and signposting them to other services within the centre. As part of the Food Club role, I also supervise a volunteer who supports me weekly. I manage the local exhibitions and gallery space within the LCA building
