About Us

Welcome toLangworthy Cornerstone.

Established in 2006, Langworthy Cornerstone is a trusted local charity based in Salford, dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of individuals and families across the communities of Weaste and Seedley, Langworthy, Ordsall, Pendleton, Charlestown, and The Quays.

The Cornerstone Centre is a large purpose-built community Healthy Living Centre in the heart of Salford, operating as a vibrant community hub which hosts a wide range of services and activities, including a Job Café, volunteer opportunities, wellbeing sessions and Fitness classes, seniors’ groups and men’s health program, Art exhibitions, and events.

Within the Centre are key partner organisations and services such as Salford Disability Forum, Salford d/Deaf Community, Living Well, Citizens Advice Salford, Family Hub, a Children’s Day Nursery, and a busy GP practice.

The Centre provides flexible office rentals and is home to the well-loved Jigsaw Café, offering fresh meals, drinks, and a buffet service.

Our Team consists of a committed group of Staff, Trustees, Volunteers and Service Users who are passionate about making a positive difference in the community.

Re-Launched

Our Offer Evolved withLangworthy Cornerstone re-launch!

The last two decades have seen our community change dramatically both in terms of the people that live here and the space we inhabit.

One thing that has been a constant is the support for the community the Cornerstone has provided. As the community we serve has grown, evolved and diversified, so has our offer!

We held a joyful re-launch event to celebrate all the new ideas and opportunities we will be bringing to our users in the near future. It was a great event, attended by the City Mayor (Paul Dennett), our local MP (Rebecca Long-Bailey), Tony Walsh (Longfella – poet) and many other wonderful individuals and groups.

The event highlighted that the Cornerstone truly is your space and we encourage anyone and everyone to come along and try something with us.
