Type: Part-time, Permanent
Hours: 16 hrs per week, Mon to Thurs(11:30 am – 2:30pm), Fri(11:30 am – 3:30pm) with potential for extended hours.
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour

Langworthy Cornerstone Association is seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Catering Assistant to join our team at our Chimney pots Café within the Community centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a crucial part of a vibrant dynamic team committed to delivering culinary excellence and creating a welcoming, vibrant environment at our Café.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of high-quality food and beverages according to Quality standards.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all café visitors.
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workspace in kitchen, café and food areas. Ensure all proper storage of food and supplies are in impeccable condition and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Cash Handling: Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.

Ideal Candidates:

Previous catering experience preferred.
Could be working towards Food hygiene Level 2 Certification.
Highly reliable with excellent time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, empathy towards clients, and adept at building relationships.
Willingness to be trained on Square POS and cash transactions on the register.
Strong team player.
Immediate availability to start work.
Willingness to do some occasional evening and weekend work.

The appointment is subject to full references and an enhanced DBS certificate. Some evening, weekend work or impromptu shift covers may be required on few occasions.
