Salford Centenary Community Celebration Event
Join us for a week-long event we celebrate 100 years of Salford’s history, culture, and community.
This is a combination of art, storytelling, heritage walks and community celebration to capture and celebrate memories of Salford.
This special event brings people together to reflect on the past and celebrate the present through storytelling, connection, and shared experiences.
Activities will include:
- A public exhibition at our centre showcasing artwork representing Salford’s history: 20th -24th April
- A participatory storytelling activity called “100 Words for 100 Years”
- Five local heritage walks: 20th – 24th April
- A community heritage film and final celebration event bringing together everyone in our community, refreshments provided.

The event will feature a short film inspired by interviews with Salford residents, offering a powerful insight into local stories and experiences.
Refreshments, including hot pot, will be provided.
