Temporary Part-Time Project Worker

ROLE DETAILS:

  • Position: Temporary Part-Time Project Worker
  • Start Date: w/c Monday 22nd June
  • Contract Duration: 6 months, ending Friday 18th December (Potential for extension subject to funding)
  • Hours: 15 hours per week across 3 days
  • Typical Working Hours: Flexible, usually between 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (Typically 5 hours per day)
  • Pay: £13.45 per hour
  • Closing Date: Friday 12th June 5PM

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and community-focused individual to join our team as a Temporary Part-Time Project Worker.
This role will support the Community Development Officer in delivering a range of community activities and projects, including helping to lead sessions and support local residents to get involved.
No specialist qualifications are required — we are simply looking for someone who is approachable, organised, and passionate about supporting people and communities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting or delivering community-based projects as a volunteer or paid worker
  • Experience supporting volunteers
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • A positive, reliable, and flexible approach
  • The ability to obtain a DBS check (we will do this)

KEY RESPONSABILITIES: 

Community Project Delivery: Support the delivery of community-based activities, sessions, and projects.
Session Support: Help to plan, set up, and support community sessions and activities.
Volunteer Support: Work alongside and support volunteers, helping to guide and encourage participation.
Community Engagement: Support local residents to get involved in activities and community initiatives.
Administration: Assist with basic admin tasks including registers, records, and session support documentation.
Teamwork: Work closely with the Community Development Officer and wider team to ensure smooth delivery of activities.
Safeguarding: Follow safeguarding procedures and help ensure a safe environment for all participants.

  • Fixed-term 6-month contract with potential extension subject to funding
