Temporary Children’s Activities Lead

SUMMARY:

Position: Temporary Children’s Activity Lead
Project: Cornerstone Healthy Holidays Club
Contract Type: Temporary
Dates: Monday 27th July – Friday 25th August (5 weeks)
Working Hours: Weekdays, 9:30am – 3:30pm
Hours per Week: 27.5 hours (6-hour day inclusive of a 30-minute unpaid break)
Pay: £13.45 per hour (£15.08 per hour inclusive of holiday pay).
Closing Date: Friday 19^th June 2026 5PM

Are you passionate about creating fun, safe, and engaging activities for children during the school holidays?

Langworthy Cornerstone Association is a Healthy Living Centre in Salford, dedicated to improving health and wellbeing across our local communities. As part of our Cornerstone Healthy Holidays Club, we are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Temporary Children’s Activity Lead to help deliver an exciting programme for children aged 4–14.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, brings energy and structure to group activities, and is confident supporting and working alongside volunteers in a busy holiday club environment.

What We’re Looking For

Experience delivering fun, inclusive activities for children and young people
Experience leading and supporting volunteers
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
A positive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

Activity delivery for children aged 4–14
Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment
Supporting and supervising volunteers
Safeguarding and promoting child wellbeing
Supporting positive behaviour
Teamworking with staff and volunteers
Preparing materials and resources for sessions

Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children in group settings
Confident, energetic and approachable
Strong communication and leadership skills
Able to support and work with volunteers
Creative and adaptable
Reliable and well organised
